American Republicanism is a term used to refer to the main ideology of the Republican Party such as the evolution of American Republicanism since the creation of the Republican Party until nowadays. Republicanism supports free markets and tax cuts, in addition to opposing gun control, drugs, same-sex marriage, abortion, illegal immigration and progressive policies in general.

American Republicanism can also be used to represent the beliefs of certain Republicans this means it can represent the beliefs of right-wing Republicans such as Fuente.png Nick Fuentes or RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) such as Teddy Roosevelt, or it could represent Big State Republicans such as Richard Nixon or Small State Republicans such as Rand Paul.

Personality

GOP is usually portrayed with the personality of any Republican figure or there supporters.

History

Early History

The Republican Party was founded in the Northern states in 1854 by people that opposed the expansion of slavery. The Republican Party quickly became the opposition of the dominant Democratic Party. The party also grew out of opposition to the Kansas–Nebraska Act, which repealed the Missouri Compromise and opened Kansas Territory and Nebraska Territory to slavery, and there future joining as slave states. The name Republican was proposed during the first public meeting of the general anti-Nebraska movement, The Republican Party first came to power in the elections of 1860 when it won control of both houses of Congress and its candidate, former congressman File:PCB-Lincolnism.png Abraham Lincoln, was elected president. In the election of 1864, it united with War Democrats to nominate Lincoln on the National Union Party ticket; Lincoln won re-election. Under Republican congressional leadership, the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution—which banned slavery in the United States passed, and was ratified in December 1865. The Republican Party supported hard money (i.e. the gold standard), high tariffs to promote economic growth, high wages and high profits, and generous pensions for Union veterans. The Republicans had strong support from pietistic Protestants, but they resisted demands for prohibition. As the Northern postwar economy boomed with heavy and light industry, railroads, mines, fast-growing cities, and prosperous agriculture, the Republicans took credit, and promoted policies to sustain the fast growth.

Later History

After the american civil war the republican party continued to compete with the democratic party for the presidency one prominent member of the party was theodore roosevelt who while himself a moderate progressive did adhere strongly to the principles of the monroe doctrine which would lead his political career forward Roosevelt served three years in his first term from 1901–1905 (William McKinley was president for most of 1901) and four years in his second term from 1905–1909. He would have ran a third time in 1908, however did not, as in his victory speech following the election of 1904 he declared that he would adhere to the tradition of serving two terms. Roosevelt later acknowledged this to be the worst decision of his political career, as he was immensely popular, and certainly would have been elected again. Roosevelt ran again in 1912 on the National Progressive “Bull Moose” Party ticket but He lost the election, receiving 27 percent of total votes and won 88 votes in the electoral college.

Current History

After the presidency of donald trump republicanism has been returning to the use of populist rhetoric as seen with their older presidential candidates such as Abraham Lincoln & theodore roosevelt though the frantic news coverage of this presidency and eventual electoral loss against Joe Biden has caused more liberal factions in the party such as the bushite neoconservatives and romneys liberal conservatives to distance themselves from populist rhetoric.

Tea Party Republicism

Tea party republicanism are those republicans who have more libertarian sympathies these include libertarian conservatives like ron & rand paul amongst many others. Within this group there are radical constitutionalists who believe in enforcing the founding fathers ideas & those who advocate for lower taxation to stimulate small businesses

Christian Right

Christian Conservatism also known as The Christian Right, or the Religious Right is form of Christianity & USAGOP.png American Republicanism / Conserv.png American Conservatism that advocates for Cap.png Laissez-faire Capitalism, Christian Zionism, the lessing between Chruch, and State without being theocratic, restrictions on the sale of alcohol on Sundays, the occasional support of labor unions, homeschooling (or private christian schools), the promotion of abstinence till marriage, the promotion of creationalism in schools, and a school voucher system that would be government funded & could be redeemed for "a specified maximum sum per child per years if spent on approved educational services" in order to relive the econimic burden associated with private schools.

American Paleoconservatism

Paleoconservatism follows the ideas of previous forms of american republicanism along with a practicing a significant level of cultural conservatism writers within this group include pat buchanan an anti interventionist.

American Right-wing Populism

Populism in the republican party has been used multiple times to win elections throughout its history in recent years candidates have used this rhetoric specifically right wing populists in america see the administration of "left wing" democrat run states as abysmal and hope to see positive changes to their lives through voting for another party

Main Street Republicanism

Main Street Republicanism also known as Main Street Republicans is a faction of the USAGOP.png American Republican Party Main Street Republicans. Main Street Republicans are the party's small-town, rural, and small-business supporters, generally they are more culturally conservative then that of mainstream conservatism being more opposed to gay rights, abortion, and other similar issues.

American Traditional Conservatism

American Traditional Conservatism is a form of American Republicanism / American Conservatism that is based on the writings of both Edmund Burke, and Aristotle that emphasizes the bonds of social order over hyper-individualism. Tradcon.png American Traditional Conservatives also believe in a moral order, manifested through what they call the natural laws which they believe society ought to conform to.

Reagan Coalitionism

Reagan Coalitionism also known as the Reagan Coalition & Reagan Democrats were a short lived faction & movement in the USAGOP.png American Republican Party that focused on assembling a major political realignment that helped Ronald Reagan with his electoral landslide in the 1980 election. In 1980, the Reagan coalition was possible because of Democrat Jimmy Carter's losses in most social-economic groups. The Reagan coalition was possible due to the fact that Democrat Jimmy Carter's lossed favor in most economic groups.

Half-Breed Republicanism

The Half-Breeds also known as the Half-Breed Republicans were a faction in the Republican Party & a form of Meritocracy that was led by Senator James G. Blaine that advocated for civil service reforms & a merit system which was opposed by the Klep.png Stalwarts (Another Faction in the Republican Party). There name was based on the fact that the Klep.png Stalwarts only saw them as half-republican. They are also known for electing the Half-Breed George Frisbie Hoar to the position as temporary chairman of the convention. Later both the Half-Breeds, and the Stalwarts comprimised on the candidate James Garfield, and they also outlawed the spoil system. Both the Half-Breeds and Stalwarts dissolved towards the end of the 1880s.

Progressive Republicanism

The bull moose progressivism within the republican party advocates for the re-industrialization of america in order to bring back manufacturing potential and the installment of anti trust laws in general its a civic nationalist movement which wishes to use similar methods to teddy roosevelt in order to improve american life.

Reagan / Bush Democrats

The Reagan Democrats were Democrats before, & after the Reagan years, but voted for Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984 and for George H. W. Bush in 1988, producing their landslide victories during their elections. They were mostly white socially conservative blue-collar workers who were attracted to Reagan's social conservatism and to his foreign policy. They did not continue to vote Republican in 1992 or 1996.

America First

America first is a paleoconservative movement heavily influenced by the internet, prominent advocates for it include nick fuentes and vincent james though there are differences between people like fuentes who mostly base their political decisions on memes and people like vincent who see the restoration of the USA as a serious situation. In general they supported the candidacy of trump but then moved on to advocate for things like immigration control, anti interventionism and lower taxes

Social Conservatism/Paternalistic Conservatism

Known as blue republicans or red democrats they're usually have sympathies with some conservative leaning democratic candidates but due to issues with the democrats in general refuse to join them they're a faction of populists that believes in accessible healthcare & scholarship for all american citizens and the pragmatic use of welfare through the balancing of government spending with cuts to redundant programs if possible they usually prefer the use of federal job programs more than welfare systems in order to help reduce unemployment along with poverty. To them any attempt of imitating the new deal from a liberal point of view would itself fail as the globalist and hedonistic lifestyle promoted by liberalism lacks the patriotism and the civic commitment necessary to apply it.
