File:Bookbard Institute.png Template:Gang Infobox The Bookbard Institute, as a gang, was founded by File:Ved.png Vedocracy and File:Bastian.png Bastian. However, its roots trace back to an earlier Discord server, still active today, originally created and owned by File:Ablatism.png Aequori. The Discord server served as the precursor and foundation for what would later become the Institute.

Rather than being unified by a single ideology, belief, or topic, the Bookbard Institute is a group of different people with very different beliefs mutually influencing each other and maintaining a shared circle.

The Radical People's Front

The modern Bookbard Institute is a direct successor to the File:RPFball.png Radical People’s Front (RPF). Founded by File:Ablatism.png Aequori on June 30th, 2025, the RPF quickly became one of the major political parties in the Stanistan II roleplay. The RPF platform emphasized decentralization, ultramunicipalism, and civil liberties, advocating for a panarchist system in which autonomous communities could determine their own laws and economic models. As such, it came to be regarded as the party of libertarian unity, bringing together left-libertarians and right-libertarians under a single banner. The RPF firmly rejected all forms of authoritarianism and supported robust protections for individual rights. To quote their platform:

The first primary election for the RPF began on the night of July 4th, 2025, and lasted approximately 24 hours. Using the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system, the initial winners were Mothman, AceOfSpades, and Aequori. However, the results were annulled due to a controversy involving one of the candidates, whose transferred votes had contributed to Mothman's victory. After this candidate was subsequently banned from the community, the RPF organized a new primary on the morning of July 5th. The second vote also ran for about 24 hours and resulted in the election of Friekorps, AceOfSpade, and Aequori as the party’s triumvirs.

That same day, the RPF formally announced the creation of the Sunflower Coalition, an electoral alliance with the Liberal Front (classical liberals) and the Christian Farmers' Commonwealth (Christian democrats). The coalition was formed in an effort to counter the rising influence of the Social Democratic Labor Party (SDLP), which was projected to win the most seats in the upcoming Constitutional Assembly election.

The elections for the Constitutional Assembly were originally scheduled for July 12, 2025, with results released on July 19 after a week-long counting and verification process. In the final tally, the Radical People's Front (RPF) received 18.62% of the vote, placing second and securing 2 out of 9 seats in the Assembly. The Christian Farmers' Commonwealth, despite being part of the Sunflower Coalition, failed to win any seats due to an administrative oversight: they forgot to register their party. As a result, the RPF and the Liberal Front (LF), which secured 2 seats, were compelled to form a coalition with the Progressive Green Union (PGU), a social democratic party that held 1 seat, in order to prevent a Social Democratic Labor Party (SDLP) majority and avoid legislative deadlock.

On July 19, shortly after the announcement of the election results, AceOfSpade resigned from the Triumvirate. Soon after, Friekorps announced a temporary three-week absence, creating a leadership vacuum and triggering a succession crisis. In response, Aequori invoked Section 3, Article 2 of the Radical People's Front’s Internal Constitution to promote deputy triumvirs Apple-Guy and Lunch24 to full members of the Triumvirate.

After the new constitution was ratified by the Assembly, elections for the Stanistani Parliament were held on August 4, 2025. The results were announced the following day, on August 5. In this election, the RPF received 19.81% of the vote, winning 3 out of 13 seats in the new legislature.

By late August 2025, the RPF formally disbanded following a period of inactivity in the Stanistan RP, which had tapered off by mid-August. The RPF Discord server was subsequently restructured and now operates as the Bookbard Institute.

The Bookbard Institute's Discord Server

The name “Bookbard” was proposed by Discord user Armandonis. It is a portmanteau of the surnames of Murray Bookchin and Murray Rothbard, reflecting the ideological blend that inspired the server’s identity.
